Tellbyte

Checking the result is part of the workflow

An action log records what a system attempted. A verified result establishes what happened afterward. The Tellbyte concept treats both as necessary parts of a supported workflow.

Define success before running the action

The operating rule should identify the records and states that count as completion. For an order handoff, that includes a matching destination record with the expected quantities and status.

The verification step should use a deterministic comparison when the data supports one. AI can help explain messy information, but it should not replace a stable identifier or a measurable state check.

Make retries safe to reason about

An integration may return an error even when the destination accepted the request. A recovery workflow therefore needs a duplicate check and a clear retry boundary.

The activity record should connect the original finding, the approved action and the verification result. That relationship makes it possible to understand a later investigation without relying on a single success message.

Keep unresolved outcomes visible

Verification may be delayed or inconclusive. The product should preserve that state and send it to review when the supported checks cannot establish the outcome.

A verified resolution rate, investigation effort and setup needs are useful validation questions for an early pilot. They are measures to collect, not results this exploration claims to have achieved.

An action is complete when the intended result has been checked against the relevant systems.
